Wow. I am so tired of having questions on accupuncture during ITE studying. Anybody else? I have to say I'm actually a little embarrassed that our medical boards actually has questions about it. I mean seriously, this is 2008. Can we leave the voodoo dolls alone?

Is this just my ignorance showing? Does anybody actually use this in practice (PONV??) or is this just more useless crap (copper kettles, methoxyflurane) to waste perfectly good brain cells on? Part of me wants to learn this just so I can see our surgeons' reaction when I'm sticking people's faces with needles prior to GA.

Lol, there have been some studies showing acupuncture to be better than placebo for certain types of pain. I haven't heard of any induction acupunture, but I think you should try.

acupuncture actually has very good evidence in PONV (which is why it is appearing on your boards) and migraines.....TJ Gan has a lot of articles about it...he is a PONV guru......
