accuracy of med school's cost of attendance?

Is the cost of attendance posted on med schools site pretty accurate? I'm looking into NYU and I wanted to know if I should follow their guide or if they might be over or underestimating the cost? thanks!

From what I've heard-they overestimate so that the students have some lee-way in housing and such. That being said...I'd still go with the number they give you until you know how much you personally would actually spend.

MSAR is pretty good too. I think it depends school-to-school. Some overestimate, other underestimate IMO.

If you can determine the actual tuition costs you can see how much they allow for housing. Then depending on the city you can see if you could actually live on that.
