Wanted to add into this directionless pile to just say.. why do people even bother with the cheating?? A grade C, D, hell, even an F is by FAR easier to overcome through grade remediation, postbacc, personal statements, grovelling, etc. than a big fat IA. It's like causing a car accident and then instead of rectifying the injured or damaged through exchanging insurance/paying a higher premium as needed, you just set the damaged car in neutral and push it off the cliff whether someone was inside or not. Such a high risk for something that would've likely just needed a band-aid.
Why?? Because it is not perceived as high risk because the cheaters are so much smarter than the boomers in charge of catching them!!

on a lighter note, you may be offending gen Z and I guess 'to be boomer' is not itn your bucket list.😊

As the dad of a 17 year old, I can assure you that it's the result of not having a fully developed pre-frontal cortex.

I've never quite understood why students resubmit exams for a regrade.

Okay you failed one exam-- So study well for the next one!

I mean... If the professor misgraded you, then obviously you'd want the points back.

Regardless, I don't know why this thread is still going.

questions can be ambiguous some times and you submit for regrade with your explanations. Our Freshwater Ecology student had grade changed from A- to A. My son had 4% change in a science test. Sometimes faculty drop entire question if multiple students complain.
