hi guys I cant seem to undertand how to work this problem out..could someone please explain this to me....im confused😳
thanks a bunch..

The ecological efficiency is only 5% from one trophic level to the next. For every 250 J of energy required by the secondary consumers, what is the minimum amount of energy the primary producers will have to generate?

- so basically you devide 250/(0.05)^2
why do you square 5% though.....???????????

Because you undergo 2 trophic levels, not just one.

Secondary consumers --> Primary consumers --> Primary producers

I remember somebody ask simillar question few days ago. It looks like people always forgeting SECONDARY consumers...;D
