The total number of ATP molecules required for the synthesis of one glucose molecule via Calvin cycle is The total number of ATP molecules required for the synthesis of one glucose molecule via the Calvin cycle is
A. 6. B. 9. C. 12. D. 18. E. 36.
This question threw me off totally.. I went with 6 the answer is D. The explanation in teh acheiver is not helpful to me.. so anyone got this done help.

2. Can someone give me teh #'s on calvin cycle like how many ATP, how many NADh or FADH, I don't really understand this cycle,, nad my exam is in 2 days!!!!!!

where does ETC take place--Inner mitochondrial membrane,
where does Oxidative phosphorylation take place--???? in the cytoplasm?
I can' remember what takes place in the cytoplasm?? Also is mitchondria found in the the cytoplasm?

Bro you are just nervous, you know all this stuff!!

ETC is Oxidative phosphorylation. It occurs in the inner mitochondrial membrane.

Glycolysis (and fermentation) occur in the cytoplasm.

Pyruvate decarboxylation and Krebs cycle is in the matrix.

the q. is askin how many ATP you need to make 1glucose in the calvin cycle..so here
6CO2 + 18ATP + 12NADPH + H ----> 18ADP + 18Pi + 12NADP + 1GLUCOSE

you were thinkign bout CO2.

i suggest , go back to your biol book and read this section..
photosynthesis and all other cycles are really imp.

thansk Keliao.. I guess knowing the eq will be good, what Acheiver showed was like 9*2=18 ATP.. but anyway.. where in the south are you? I went to Univ of Tenn
