Hi all

Hope all is well
So i plan to sit for the exam on Feb 21 and im going to be utilizing topscore and qvault and crack the pat. I went thru all of chads videos and all the destroyer books as well. I plan to get Ada 2007 and Ada 2009 exams.
My question to all you fine people of sdn is Achiever necessary? Meaning how representative is Achiever to the real dat?
Please guys let me know bcuz if.it is a valuable resource then i need to readjust my study schedule.

Please please all chime in and guide me.
Thank you in advance🙂

achiever is hard. i would say question by question, it is more laborious and deep than the DAT presented, but it is also the only practice test product i used.

if you decide to use it, you need to have a healthy detachment of your achiever performance related to your overall preparedness. nothing personal, it's just business.

I agree with Ferneezy. Its ridiculous compared to the real thing, but it is great practice. IF you do decide to get Achiever, don't take any bad scores to heart. Also, any unreasonable scores will make you want to study that much harder.

It's not representative of the real exam.

However, I think you should get it. Think of it as an opportunity to look at more questions that could potentially show up on the DAT.

I believe achiever PAT questions are the most valuable, then RC test #6 and #7, and finally, the biology questions. GC/OC/QR questions are uselessly hard.

I honestly really liked the Achiever, but I guess I'm also not like most. I really didn't want to know what my score would be like or what the real DAT would be like. I intentionally wanted to study harder questions and such so that I'd feel pretty good about myself as I took the real DAT ^.^

But I would definitely get Achiever practice tests for the PAT - you will not get sufficient practice in the Keyhole, TFE, and hole punching with just CDP. And again, if you can withstand the harsh scores you get, I really would recommend getting it - even just the 3 test one (which is what I got)

Thanks for the input guys...but im just worried about being pressed for time...i think tho if i am gonna take it i will only use it for pat practice...

If you're pressed for time, rather than doing practice tests, I'd rather study - that's what I did. You can only get so much out of practice tests. Plus, you can focus on what you know you need to study

Go through chads vids again.
Then do the 09 test. I took the 07, and it wasn't representative of the actual at all.
I did achievers, and there were no questions as hard on the actual. I assume it's a great practice tool, but don't let it get to your confidence. It definitely hindered my confidence. I'll be retaking in May/June, due to bad OC/GC.

CDP PAT is pretty easy.
Achiever PAT is on the harder side.
I felt the actual was inbetween CDP and Achiever, leaning towards CDP more than the Achiever.

Chad's on fastplay will help you 'revisit' the information.
