Negative pressure breathing in human lungs results from
I.
contraction of the diaphragm.
II.
relaxation of the diaphragm.
III.
incompressibility of intra-pleural fluid.
question 17
Mitochondria and chloroplast
A.
are found in plant and animal cells.
B.
develop their membranes directly from endoplasmic reticulums.
C.
do not contain DNA molecules.
D.
are semiautonomous organelles.
E.
do not contain proteins programmed by nuclear DNA.
the solution says its memprane proteins are derived from free ribosomes in the cytosol as well as those enclosed within the organelle....so isnt E right too? it also says A small amount of DNA found within these organelles encodes protein synthesis on the in-house ribosome, mkaing them semiautonmous which makes D also right
also question 21: if it was rewritten so that all the NADH molecules produced in glycolysis was passed on to (Q) would the total atp be 36 or 34 then?
QUESTION 29: what do they mean A and B have been cross-switched?
question 31:How many chromatids are present in a diploid (2n) cell of 36 chromosomes throughout the prophase stage of mitosis?
if this question is rewritten as end of mitoisis would the answer still be 72 chromotids?
but if it was rewritten as end of meiosis 1 it would be 18chromosome? and 18 chromosome and the end of meissis 2 I HAVE BIG TROUBLE WITH THESE
