Hi
I have a couple of questions about the achievements section in the application.

  • Is Dean's list an honor or an award?

  • Honor societies? Honor right?

  • What should I describe an honor society? Or dean's list or a scholarship in the optional brief description?

  • Are associate degrees and bachelor degrees considered achievements ?

  • What about the the cum laude stuff, do I put it there as honor?

  • what else is considered an achievement?

Thank You.

I put deans and presidents list under achievements. I didn't put an explanation. Tbh those were the only achievements I had :/
I put deans achievement a few different times and same with presidents

Thank you, by the way, is being a member in an anime club count as EC
I mean I attended all the meetings, but I wasn't a leader or anything haha
Should I put it there?
I don't see the club mentioned on my transcripts though.

Yea why not? I say go for it. As long as you have some info to put in the description. For example: at club meetings we utilized/sharpened our critical thinking skills by analyzing specific episodes and studying the underlying themes while discussing character motifs.

I didn't think about that, but yeah we kinda did that, we also talked about the Japanese culture. They showed some informative videos sometimes.
we had events where people brought Japanese food to the club meeting.

Thanks a lot.

I also joined a frisbee team, but that was during college, but not part of the college, it was some meet up group, should I neglect that?

There you go.

Yea definitely, anything to make you seem well rounded will help. I talked about the sports I played in my personal statement. But yea I believe it fits into EC's

This year I put everything I could think of on the application. Let's see

Been member of ASDA where should it go? or should even be considered?
Hmm.. I founded the ASDA chapter at my school so I put that in my personal statement. Are you a part of the pre dental club? If you are you can include that in the description of what you did in the pre-dental club as part of the extra curriculars. Otherwise, I'm not too sure

Good question. I'm pretty sure DA and DH go under certification.. however I am not too sure about those yearly classes. Maybe someone else knows?
