Acknowledgement in publication. How would you put that down on the application?

Ok. I went to premed101 and found this thread. Apparently, some guy is just getting an acknoledgement on a publication stuff. But he is not considered as the author.

If so, how would you put down on the med school application?

My friend was going to acknowledge me for doing a lot of his proofing pre-submission. I wouldn't think of putting it down. Don't "cite" an acknowledgment.

Yeah, I have been acknowledged in three manuscripts...but I didnt bother putting them down. An acknowledgement doesnt really mean much. To give you an idea of its significance, during my graduate studies, I acknowledged an undergraduate on a paper simply because they came in and washed dishes in my lab for me twice a week which saved me some time to put towards my research...

The furthest I would go is to put down any poster presentations/Abstracts you may be on...
