Today I got an email from a med school to clarify why on my ACMAS transcript it has dates to 2006 for college, yet at the small fill in bit I had accidentally put in my college start date as 9/2007. I read over some of the other ACMAS errors, but since a med school brought it up I'm a little worried about it (more than I should be I guess).

I'm going to call ACMAS tomorrow about it and see if they can flip the date from 07 to 06, but outside of that should this be a cause for concern? Does it warrant notifying schools? I notice on the PDF file the whole transcript is before this error, so I doubt that it matters much.

I doubt that it matters.....you really need to look at stuff like this 100 times and have 5 people review before you submit....

Anyways, I, personally, would probably email programs. I highly doubt that they would care at all (if they even notice), but it gives you an opportunity to express interest in programs again.

Wait, should I have filled out an ACMAS application instead of my AMCAS one?!

jk, OP I'm sure it doesn't matter, like FSU said, there's no harm in emailing some schools.

I like this part...but I'd probably make it brief in this context, maybe a concluding sentence or two? I definitely agree that you should email admissions, or some schools (like BU) have messaging systems that you should use to clarify your mistake. Scary situation, but I don't see it being too much of a problem as long as you own up to it honestly, and send corrected information.
