I know I'm gonna sound like a ***** but here it goes...

I just took a practice ACT test online for the first time and I got a 80% in the English section, 100% in the Math section, 91% in reading, and 100% in Science. I know that the ACT is graded weirdly so I was wondering if any of you knew what this grade would be. (I've heard grades like 30, 32, 35....so idk how they grade it.) Any help from someone who has already taken it is appreciated.

The ACT is out of 36 for each individual section (reading, writing, math, science and the essay), and then those scores (minus the essay) are averaged to get your composite score, which is also out of 36. I don't know how your particular site works, but I advise you to go to your local library and check out the official books instead of some dodgy site. You can take the practice tests in the books that you check out from the library, and they'll score you in the same way that you'll be scored on the real thing. Kaplan, Princeton Review, ACT, McGraw-Hill, Barron's... Go for it.

Also, just as a note, there's a subforum for questions about ACT/SAT and such. Mods will probably move your thread there shortly, but just for future reference...

And sorry I didn't know about that section...I'm new here...

Don't worry about it, and you're welcome. Welcome to SDN! :hardy:

Yea, go for the Kaplan test and see how many % you can get. The practice test also gives you a detailed explanation about your weakness and strenghts. 😎
