Activities in summer after applying

Hello everyone,

I'm sorry if this question has been asked before (as it probably has). I am a junior and am planning on applying this upcoming cycle.

How does it work to have activities for the summer during/after application? IE if I apply in June, what if I am part of a research program that runs from june-aug? how will I inform med schools that I am doing this? letter of interest isn't enough surely.

Please let me know!

Some more seasoned members might come along and prove me wrong, but as far as I'm aware you want to send an update letter,a letter of interest says that your interested in a school and is sent post interview, typically after your interview/if you're waitlisted.keep in mind that you only want to send this if you have something you consider substantial to inform potential school about. Apologies for poor grammar/spelling, I'm on my phone. Happy festivus m8
