Hi guys I was hoping you experts could offer some help. My friend is studying for the DAT and decided to take the OAT practice test (it's also made by ADA and has mostly same topics). He is wondering how to get a ballpark estimate of his scaled DAT score from that practice OAT. Basically his True Science Score averaged to 360 on the OAT, which is about 91-94th percentile for that test. (http://www.ada.org/~/media/OAT/Files/oat_user_guide.ashx).
Would the best way to get a scaled DAT estimate be to look up what that percentile translates into for a DAT score, because that would be about a 21 ?(http://www.ada.org/~/media/ADA/Education and Careers/Files/dat_users_manual.ashx).
Because if he goes by number correct out of 30 (for chems) or 40 (for bio) and tries to go straight to the DAT scale, then it comes out to like 18 which is a much different score obviously. So which way do you think offers the better estimate?
