What schools will be sending their students to the ADA Convention in Philly this October 6-9??? I know at UF we are sending I think about 12 students, funded from various organizations at our school.

Will UPenn/Temple students be hosting an event or some sort of social for dental students?

Does anyone know what, if any, social activities will be set up for all dental students who come to Philly?

I know they did that for the Hinman convention in Atlanta last summer, and from what I heard, it was pretty fun, and a neat way to meet other dental students from around the nation.

I'd love to send some students from Arizona to this, and I'm excited to meet students from around the country.

We were granted a free booth at the convention so I'll probably be working there handing stuff out, networking, shootin the ****, etc. so please stop by. Several of my classmates will be volunteering at the convention as well so we will be in full force. As for social events, I haven't heard of anything but I think that's a great idea and I'll bring this up to my dean and see if I can spark any interest to get something formal going. Otherwise, we can just find a cool spot and have a few drinks, or whatever. What days are you guys gonna be in town?

Woohoo! Actually the number of us shot up to 27ish. I think my school is really pimping out this year 😀 . Your idea sounds great! I really hope something works out, please do let us know. UF will be in the area from October 6 till October 9. (BTW, I interviewed at Temple and loved the school! I also know a few dental students there that went to undergrad with me.)

Do you guys still have First Friday? They had them back when I was in undergrad, but that was a few years ago. I'm thinking about taking some of my classmates there.
