Hey guys,

Thought it might be a good idea to start a new thread, to help students adapt and better prepare for this continously evolving BEAST. It seems like the exam curriculum is changing in a pace not even Medical schools are keeping up. I would appreciate some input from students that have already taken the exam to simply state what they did to prep and what they would've done differently now after sitting the exam.

Thanks alot

While going over UWorld helps a lot to nail in concepts, the reality was that I didn't have to really read the stems because I remembered so many of the questions from the first time around. And on the real deal, the stems can be terrifyingly long - but you don't always have the luxury of skipping to the end without reading the stems.

So, be sure to use more than UWorld. I used Kaplan QBook, and if I were starting 3rd year again, I'd add yet another source with stems (not just Pretest, Lange, or those types of questions - although they can be very helpful for shelf exams). If you need to do well. If you killed Step 1 and are taking Step 2 late, you don't need more than what everyone has mentioned.
