Has anyone been to an initerview where classes taken at a community college were frowned upon? If so, what did they say?

Thanks, D-man

In my interview group, they asked one of the applicants about this. They were pretty aggresive about it. I think the question went something like "I notice that you took most of your core science pre-med courses, not at your regular college, but at a community college. Do you think this really prepared for the academic challenge of med school? Do you think you'll be able to handle the rigor of the science classes here?" Or something to that effect.

I admired the applicants response. Withouit missing a beat or batting an eye she looked them right in the face and said "Yes. I am absolutely prepared."

I was asked about this in my interview at TUCOM - NV. I graduated in 1998 without any premed science courses from a well regarded University. I have since taken my pre-meds at a local 2 year college. I was asked dirctly why I chose to take my course at this school rater than a 4 year university. I confidently explained that the school I chose has a well regarded pre-med curriculum taught by university PhDs and I felt I had rigorous classes that have prepared me for medical school. I think that it went over well.

Nope... got into every DO school I applied to, was never brought up. The TUCOM thing suprizes me though I know LOTS of people that did all thier pre reqs at JCs that went/got accepted there.
