Out of curiosity, how are Adcoms picked? How many people are usually on them? Also, do they have separate members just for interviews, and if so, how much do their opinions weigh versus the app readers?

Just looking for some insight into this mythical world...

For OKstate, it's generally a faculty member, a 4th year student, and an OKstate CVM alumni. Who you get personally is random, except if you know someone already then they can't be your evaluator. I got the notion that they were also the ones reviewing my PS, but it could also be that the whole set of adcoms for that year will read it. I kinda wonder about that too, now. Hmm.

Varies with schools (of course). Mostly are faculty with some outside (local) veterinarians and maybe a vet student or two. It's one of the busiest committees a faculty member can take on. Usually rotated through after 2 or 3 years. You can volunteer or be appointed but it's a shared responsibility (like jury duty). So most faculty will be on it an one point every few years.
