How do adcoms view students that went to a branch campus as compared to a similar student who went to the University’s main campus? Are the main university students given any slack/ benefit? NOTE: Both degrees are equivalent and say only the main campus name. Only diff would be when listing classes attended on the website (I forget its name) where you apply to schools, I’d probably have to specify a branch and not main. Thoughts?

This is an old thread my friends, I think I asked this question during the summer of last year when I had just gotten a C in Chem 2 at main campus and was all depressed/ considering quitting..

I just want to update y’all...

That C made my sGPA tank from 3.6 to 3.2... that’s why I was so depressed.

Since then, I ran away to a branch. I got A’s in everything including OChem 1 and 2 and the labs... I’ve pushed back up to 3.8 cumulative, 3.6 science, and I take my DAT in 1 week.

Life is good, and branch campus 1 on 1 time is everything! If anyone sees this in the future years from now and is looking at the same options as I was... go to the branch!! Maybe the more intimate 1 on 1 is better for you like it was for me! Not everyone is a natural genius that can swim on their own in the big seas of main campuses!

*** Edit I was on mobile before and they dont show the year posted, WOW! 2018 has been an extra long year lmao I swore I posted this over a year ago but I guess not!

Good luck on your DAT

I will be graduating from a branch campus this spring. Got into 3 schools pre December. Just keep grades high and do well on DAT to show you can handle material and you will be fine.
