Hey guys,
I'm not in medical school like most of you. I'm a paramedic though, and know a little bit about pharmacology. Propranolol as I understand blocks the action of adrenaline and noradrenaline. Adderall more or less creates similar effects as epinephrine and norepinephrine, being that it's very similar to catecholamines.
I started seeing a new PA as I moved cities to work for a new fire department, and no longer see my old doctor. Would these two meds be contraindicated? This was my first time meeting with this PA. He seems kind of like a quack. It seems that these medications could potentially screw up your blood pressure or cardiac output long term.
Edit: I was prescribed adderall by my old MD. This PA wants to add propranolol.
