Is the addiction medicine job market is as good as general psych in term of salary and flexibility?

On the general trend addiction tends to pay more, especially now that the opioid crisis is worsening each year. Particularly on the coasts and academic centres.

However general psych might have more flexibility (ex: extreme cases where if you ran a private practice cash clinic for the worried well, take no insurance, no addiction pts of course you'll be more flexible).

but I'm only a pgy-3 so it would be worth more hearing from seasoned people who are years out of training as well.
