Adding Additional Schools

My mailing date for the 8 schools I was applying to was July 2nd. After reading posts about people with much better stats than I have applying to 10-20 schools I decided to add a couple more(ones I think are out of my reach, but they still might find something in my application that they like).

Anyway, I added the additional schools after my GPA had been verified and my mailing date was posted. I didn't expect to necessarily make the July 2nd date, but there is STILL no mailing date posted and it's been almost three weeks! 🙁

I thought they would just add it to the next mailing date since all of my stuff is in. I'm starting to stress because I feel like I just threw my money away by "applying late" to these schools that I have NO idea when they are going to be mailed. Anyone else have the same experience? How long did it take to mail them out? Thanks!

That's a great question. I'm thinking about adding a couple more schools, but I don't even have a mailing date for my first set yet. I'm guessing there are delays because of the 4th of July holiday weekend and all.

Call/email AADSAS...they are quick to reply and can answer this for you.

I added some schools after my GPA had been verified but before my mailing date was posted. When the mailing date was posted, the additional schools had the same mailing date as all the rest I had originally applied to.

I'm guessing your added schools will be mailed your app either this Friday or the next week.
