Hi, I'm a Canadian applicant and some of the courses I took at University were full year courses. Hence how do I enter these courses under the coursework section as there is only an option for quarter, semester and trimester and unit.

Split into two semesters?

I had the same situation...I made it so that it was like two different courses...with a first semester of an Incomplete grade and then second semester I entered the grade...make sure you just put 6.0 credits instead of three so that the grade will count right...

I am faced with the same problem. I have a full year course as 1 entry. How should I enter this? Do I split these type of courses into two half courses and put them under the fall and winter duration? (THe course went from September until April)

Very confused. Help!

I have a similarproblem. At York, Sept-Dec is considered "Fall", and Jan-Apr is considered "Winter", while May-Aug is considered "Summer". Is this a semester or trimester system? Also, if I had a course that went from Sept-Apr, which encompasses the Fall/Winter term, how do i enter this?

I called AADSAS and they told me if the course started in the fall to just put it under the Fall semester and add it as 1.0 credits (or w/e your school uses as a full credit).

i go to u of toronto and we use half credits(0.5)/full year credits system(1.0). then do i need to put just 0.5 or 1.0 for credits? (not 3.0 or 6.0)

why don't you split the credits up between the two semesters (if its 6, make it 3 and 3) and put the same grade twice

when they calculate quality points (lets say you got an A in a 6 credit full year course for arguements sake) it will be:

4*6 = 24.

if you split it up it will be

4*3 + 4*3 = 4*(3+3) = 4*6 = 24
......................./\
.....(get this by factoring out the 4)

i would do that because of the commutative properties of addition and multiplication

but then again, how does it appear on your traniscript? does it only appear once? or does it apppear for both semesters?

I believe it appears only once, under "Fall" as a 6.0 credit course (full year). I think I will do it this way as well, thanks for your advice!
