Adding Lecom-Fl to primary this late??

The other day I received something in the mail about applying to Lecom-Fl and I wanted some advice on whether I should. Ive been accepted to Pcom-atl and live only about 30 min away from there, but the tuition for Lecom would be about 8,000 a year less and I wouldn’t mind living in Florida. My biggest question is if Lecom is sending me things in the mail because they really need people to apply because they are low on applications and would like to accept me, or do they just want some extra money from people who havnt applied there yet?? I dont want to waste time and money on applications, so will applying late really hurt my chances? I have average stats for most DO schools. Thanks

Also, another issue to consider is about pathway. LECOM-FL only has PBL pathway.
