I would like to add some schools to my AMCAS application. However, when I do this, I am told that I must re-process my application. Will re-submitting and re-processing affect my application at the other schools that I have already applied to.

I am wondering because I have not yet received secondaries from half a dozen schools, will re-submitting prohibit the schools who haven't downloaded and sent me a secondary from doing so?

Thanks

nope. go in, select schools, recertify, pay the fee, and then you are done. it doesn't "re-process" per se, it just sends the application out to the new schools.

I am just about ready to submit my application (yes, I know it's late in the cycle...long story). I have an urgent question.

Since August 2004 MCAT scores will be available in a week and a half, can I apply to only my two state schools now, and then add more schools in a couple of weeks based on my MCAT score? I realize that the verification process with AMCAS takes six weeks or so, and as long as I don't miss any deadlines I would think that adding schools in a few weeks won't hurt me time-wise. It would be great to save some money in the event that I didn't do as well on the MCAT as I think I did.

Please respond ASAP. Thanks in advance.

Yes you can do that. A lot of people do that. Just log back in when you get your super high MCAT score and add your dream schools and you'll be golden.

Thanks so much, tulips. As long as my score starts with a '3' I'll be good to go. 😀

Yah, I added four more schools in late August after I had submitted in June. It was really fast, unlike the initial processing.
