Does it still hold true that A+s are calculated as 4.33s? Or are they 4.0s

Many cycles ago, yes. Not anymore because there are some universities that simply do not award A+s, so I think it was somewhat of an attempt to make things fair. But, A+s have not been counted as anything but 4.0 for some cycles now.
