I graduated with a BS of microbiology and immunology gpa of 2.8. If i decide to go to medical school should i do post-bacc or get a masters degree. I had academic probation from my university but i did well my last yr and a half but it was not enough to get my gpa over 3.0 reguardless of how many A's i had. I know that having 140 credits for my BS degree makes it harder to get a desirable GPA. Now that i am serious about my education and where i want to be in life what should i do?
P.S. my mcat score is 32

Do a post-bacc. Get your GPA to at least 3.0 and do plenty of ECs. Apply D.O. The academic probation may come to haunt you though.

Obviously you have an uphill road ahead of you if you are to have a shot at med school. The most important thing to do now is to figure out why you couldn't get A's in college - bad study habits? concentration problems? Whatever they are, you need to work them out first. Talk to your professors, your TAs, see if you can figure out a trend that led to your academic issues. Then, you need to go get A's, a lot of A's. I would recommend against a masters degree, even though that's what I did (I had a college GPA of 3.1), just because it's super expensive and is not a substitute for a poor undergrad GPA. A post-bac IS a substitute for a poor undergrad GPA, so that might be a good place to start. Good luck!

EDIT: And yes, as the above poster stated, if you have a chance at a career as a physician, it will most likely be as DO (and obviously that will still take a lot of work).

Post bac is the way to go if you want medical school. Masters if you are considering other fields.
