Greetings
This question really isn't about got chances or not, its more specific than that, and my searches for this answer has not really helped
my question is (Some people including myself do quite poorly in their first or 2nd year) at least that's the trend, and somehow either go into Academic Probation, or Smarten Up and do well in their 3rd year and 4th and or 5th
My question is usually 1st and 2nd year is when u take all the prereq coruses like Chem 100, Biol 100, Phys 100, Organic 200, ENGH 100 etc...
but in the 3rd and 4th year depending on program (lets say Biol to be general and consistent with most people)
will take higher courses like Genetics 300, Biochem 300, Molecular Biology 400, Physiology 300 Cell Bio 300 etc...
These are all I suppose harder courses than the 1st and 2nd year
so if u do bad on your first two years (taking the prerequ) fail some courses, but smarten up in the last few years of your program such that you get 70% and above for the last few years
your CGPA will be quite low probalby 2.5-2.7 when u count for the first two years but if u take that last few years may be 3.3-3.5
Will SABA or other Schools take that into Consideration? Also assuming if u get a MCAT score near 30 would help
Also I have been told that if a situation like this happens its good to have a Masters Degree or PHd, to show you are capabale of higher education.
Thanks so much, my biggest debate is to know if I even stand a chance applying with 2 bad years, or if I shoudl do Grad work then re apply (cause if I have a chance then might as well save the few years)
