What are my chances to get interviews at schools as a canadian, e.g. boston U and NYU. I have a 3.3 GPA, 22 AA on the DAT, and strong but not mind blowing extracurriculars. Thanks in advance!

I have searched many threads but just wanted some general opinions! Sorry if it is not a well thought out question.

The reason I ask is this - Would it be worth it to retake the DAT before I apply to try and raise my scores? Or are my chances solid enough already

I think your chance is decent. Apply broadly and early. I dont think you need to retake the DAT, it's a good score already.

Good luck!

dude a 22 AA is fine, how could you think you need to retake lmao , unless your math and reading are the cause of that and ur science sections are really low, which I doubt, best of luck, cheers

I wrote the canadian DAT, 20 Bio, 22 Chem, 24 RC, 21 PAT.
which is 22 AA, 21 TS.

I know its a good score but my GPA is below average (3.3) so I feel the need to make up for that with a score around 25 on the DAT. But I am not sure, which is why I am asking.
I estimate my chances around 50% to get in with my current scores and GPA but I have no idea

Apply broadly and early and you'll be fine , a girl at my Nyu interview was from Canada actually , make sure you do research on the schools you apply as far as their averages and friendliness to oos and you shouldn't have trouble

I am retaking orgo chem II this summer, so I won't be able to get my application in until mid august. (I got a D, I assume it is better to wait to have my improved mark before applying). Would this be early enough?
I will apply to the 10-15 schools that are OOS friendly

Thanks again
