Hi, this is my first time to post, and I was wondering how others felt about my odds of admissions. Here's where I'm applying: TUCOM, UNECOM, NYCOM and PCOM. Here are my stats: 24N, 3.73 GPA, 3.54 science GPA. I am limited to where I can apply b/c of my fiance (applying to Grad schools in NY, Boston, PA and Cali). I am 26 and have 5 semesters of research (one paper submitted to JACS currently for acceptance), one year of volunteer work at a hospice AIDS facility, one year of work as a unit sec. in a newborn nursery, currently shadowing an MD for the past 3 months, 2nd team all american athlete in tennis my freshman year. The only negative (other than my MCAT) is that I had to withdraw quite a few times from various schools with an illness that I have been recovered from for the past 3 years. I also have a DO rec. letter? Any advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks again!

I would say apply multiple places other than just those places. Getting into med school >> harder than getting into grad school. Your fiance can go to a grad school near you. In the end, you will also most likely be making more so it is much more important for you to get in somewhere.

Retake the MCAT in Aug as well.
