SOMEONE PLEASE VERIFY THIS!!!!

I looked at PCO'S class profile and it states "The class is 100 percent female and 50 percent minority" ... what the hell!!!! (Im not disrespecting any females)

But seriously 100% females, thats nuts...if Im a male should I not apply there, seriously ?

100% is a lot.. but it's actually not too surprising.
Most students in op school now are female. I think this is because of the fact that optometry can provide stability and predictable hours for women who want to balance family and work. It's funny how it's changed though, most all of the older generation optometrists are male. It is shifting... but you should still apply to that school. I think that is the general trend you will see in all schools.

I don't know where you got this information, but why be so naive?? The split for PCO has been about 65-35 women (give or take) in the recent past. I am a male and going to PCO so it can't be 100%.

ok...but come on 100% that is ridiculous, are the admissions adcom all females ? does anyone know ?

why is it that the entire optometry class is composed of females ?

Are they being sexist ?

why is it that the entire optometry class is composed of females ?

Like I said...quit being so naive. The class is not 100% female and never has been, where did you get this information?

ooo, really!!! thats good. That was close, but why does it say that its 100% females on their site.

LAST PARAGRPAH

OH...I see it now...read it closely. It said that there were 8 students admitted to the Audiology program (whichever year) and that class was 100% female, 50% minority. Lol🙂 Just above that sentence it states that the class is 65% female for the Doctor of Optometry degree.

yea, thats what I thought initally, but I was not sure. thanks for verifying hfpepperbean47! ( please look @ my other thread)

I'm a married female, so surely I'm not the only one who recognizes the value of a male attending a school with a 100% female class? 😀😉

(Yes, I know it was only referring to audiology, but still... what guy complains about there being too many girls? 🙄)

lol,

I wouldnt complain if there were too many females (99/100) assuming 100 is the max class size.

Haha, now you're just being greedy. I'll take 2:1. 🙂
