Do you think there are any open spots at
any osteo schools for the coming fall?
Do you think they would accept someone with
pretty good stats now, if they do not have
someone with decent stats to fill the seat?

I personally know someone who was accepted at KCOM about a week or two ago (they interviewed about 3 weeks ago). I think this is about as rare as farting ducks, but it does seem to happen. I was shocked that this person was offered an interview that late, with the waitlists and all. Anyway, the people on waitlists should be on their toes, people do get accepted the day before classes start.
I think the focus is shifting towards working on next years app, it's getting pretty late.

the wait lists are moving at many schools, so your chances may be good. If you have not interviewed, you could not be accepted. The waitlist will take care of any empty seats. If your question is, could you interview now, that may not be possible. call the schools to see if they are still scheduling interviews.
