My name is Tim. I'm originally from Yugoslavia (Serbia@Montenegro).

I'm a US citizen now. Been here in NC for about 6 1/2 years.

What do you guys think of my situation?

Does it benefit me, the fact that I'm not from here.

Am I considered a minority?

I'm planning to apply at Haward, UNC (instate), NYU, Tennese

My GPA is not competitive at all.

Do you thing I have advantage.

I would appreciate, if anyone could comment on this.

Does it benefit me, the fact that I'm not from here. I THINK NOT. NOW THE CITIZENSHIP SHOULD GIVE YOU MORE OPTIONS THAN AN INTERNATIONAL STUDENT.
Am I considered a minority? NOPE, I DON'T THINK SO.

Do you thing I have advantage. ADVANTAGE BASED ON WHAT? IF YOU WANT AN "ADVANTAGE," I'D SAY, BUMP UP THE GPA, OWN THE DAT, SHADOW, VOLUNTEER AND INTERVIEW WELL. AS FOR UNC YOU SHOULD BE CONSIDERED AN INSTATE APPLICANT. THAT'S AN ADVANTAGE.

Maybe if you are applying to a Dental school in Belgrade.
White + Male = disadvantage.
