Hey SDN,

Thanks for all you do! Now onto my question.

I'm currently enrolled in physical chemistry, and as ridiculous as this might sound, I hadn't anticipated the intense workload this course offers. I'm figuring if I receive a 90% on everything from here on out, I'll achieve a B-. So, my concern is - if I make a mistake, I'll be in the C->C+ range.

Some background:

Science GPA 3.3
DAT = 22 AA / 22 PA

Non traditional applicant, have been out of school for ~ 6 years. Have been taking courses at UVA as a community scholar since Fall 2013 - current UVA GPA = 3.7. We're limited to two courses per semester, and I took a withdrawal in the summer (busy studying for the DAT).

Happy to answer any additional questions, and am eternally grateful for any assistance you can offer!

Most Respectfully,
gregvs3

i'd say drop. I'm assuming thats a 4 credit course. Why are you taking that course anyway?

He wants to impress because his GPA is not the highest of all. That's my guess.

AP/microbiology/biochemistry,genetics,histology, immunology are much more worthy courses to get your gpa up.

You're breaking your back for little reason. I would drop the course and take something that would be more applicable to dental school (a W will not affect your overall application). Pretty much any of the classes Faux listed.
