The time is alomost upon me. This will be a retake for me (as some of you know) and I have been studying consistently for about 2-2.5 months.

I have made it through CliffsAP Bio (2x) and Schuams Bio (1x) both supplemented with Campbells, Destroyer (2x), my old chem book and my old ochem book both supplemented with notes/tests, TS moreso than Achiever as I found Achiever self defeating, Crack for PAT/Math.

The problem and advice that I am asking for is simple. I have not been able to break the 17 mark on TS. It is starting to freak me out. When I go through TS and review my missed questions I acknowledge that I either misread or misunderstood and made simple mistakes.

What to do?

**It is worth noting that I have had a few major distractions. I lost my job at the end of June (have yet to find a sustainable one) and I had to place my mother in hospice care over Labor Day.**

These are nor excuses but I feel inorder to receive adequate advice it is best to inform you of all facets. Thanks in advance.

hey, im sorry about all your distractions and hope everything works out for you. I realized I was missing questions not because i didnt know the material but b/c i misread the question or misunderstood , just like you. I felt as if i was rushing each question. Just take a deep breath after each question and move on. It takes 1 second but i felt this helped me clear my mind after each question was over. gl!

Thanks Albuterol for the advice. It is certainly appreciable to find another in the same boat as myself (at least with TS).

Hope that the asthma is better😀.

hahah the asthma only acts up during the springtime..stupid pollen
but i wanted to also let u know that my TS(22 is the highest i got) went up after i slowed down and tried to see what the question was really asking, u have time try it out on a practice test.. gl buddy, i wish u the very best and i expect great scores from u.

Hey rdhdds1,

Since it is about a week and couple of days before your exam..you need to be a bit relaxed, because now it is all about perfecting your test taking skills rather than retaining information. It seems that you already have done all you can with reviewing and taking practice tests. Even though it is a bit stressful that you arent able to break a 17 on the TS..you should take at least one day off and relax.

When I was studying for my exam, it was a week before my exam and i was stressed because i kept on getting a 19 on the TS, I really wanted to get higher. So ended up extending my test day to another 2 months. What it did for me was it made me realize that i had more time to practice and focus on my test taking skills..by extending my test, I was more relaxed and when the test came around..i knew that that was it. I ended up scoring 24 on the actual TS. What I am trying to say is ..if you really think you arent ready extend it..it will calm you down and you will get the score that you think you deserve. But, if you feel that there is nothing more you can do..than go ahead and take the test..

Best of luck to you, dont hesitate to ask any questions you have..take care
