  1. Pre-Health (Field Undecided)
I'm a pre-dental transfer considering UC Riverside vs the University of Redlands. I'm interested in moving to the inland empire (weird I know, but I've lived in la/lbc my whole life)

Just throwing it out there... I also got into UC Davis (anthro), but I want to stay in socal for undergrad. I also got into CSULB (anthro) and Whittier College and Mills College (art-sculpture).

at UC Riverside I would major in biological anthro. They have a pre-dental club and other pre-health clubs I would join

at Redlands, I would study studio art (I've studied sculpture for years). My class sizes would be small and although I'm sure they only have a pre-health club, advisers and professors would work closer with me at this school. I feel like Redlands may cater to my needs more because it's so small and expensive, but UC Riverside probably has more dental-specific opportunities.

What would you recommend? Riverside or Redlands? And am I crazy for not going to UC Davis? I have no one in my family to ask! I've done alot of research on these schools, but I'm still confused. any input is appreciated.

(my dream dental school is the university of the pacific, but of course, I'll go to anyone that accepts me when that time comes)

I want to avoid living in orange county, but is Irvine really great for pre-dental? I know it has a better reputation, but I don't think that matters since my GPA has always been high

I don't think (between Riverside and Redlands or even Davis) it's going to matter which you select as long as you do well. Keep your GPA high and do well on the DAT, which you can do at either school. Pick the one you'd be more comfortable at.

UC Davis has a really strong antro program and a very active pre-dental society club. Also, UC Davis is a major feeder for UOP and UCSF if you wanted to apply there. I don't know anything about UC Riverside so I can't comment on that.

Thanks Yoda, I did consider that too! Since UOP is my dream school, maybe Davis is worth the move.

I really liked the small campus of Redlands, but I guess either school will provide me with great opportunities. I would definitely save the most money going to UCR. UCR also keeps sending me emails about scholarships I qualify for, so I'm leaning towards a UC now! Thanks guys!

Thanks for the info on UC Davis. I chose Riverside and Davis because I know I can afford to live in those cities by myself. I want to be very active on campus, and live close to wherever I go. I know Riverside is ranked lower, but it would definitely be an easier adjustment for me and I love living in socal. At least I've narrowed it down to UCs! I know I'm a good student, but I was honestly surprised when Davis accepted me

Don't worry too much about rent. You can always get a roommate and save up money that way. Let us know when you make your final decision.
Best of luck to you.
