Hey ya'll,

So hypothetically (haha), a student sent the wrong essay for a school. School A and B are in the same city. Instead of the essay that refers to school A, they send an essay commenting on how school B is a good fit to school A. The student receives an interview invitation from school A. What should the student do? The student would be fine with attending medical school A. The student would be concerned whether the savings needed to make the trip and classes missed would be worth it or if the essay has doomed the student from the start.

Do schools not read secondaries until after the interview?

Jeez. My worst fear in this whole process. Sorry about that bud.

I did this. I don't know how, but they didn't ask me about it in the interview. Accepted. Cross your fingers and go!

Maybe... sometimes... a mistake is just a mistake.

I loved the typos that I got on emails from AD coms (wrong year, sounds like they just copied and pasted from prior year). Made me smile, as I made some HUGE typos in my secondaries and Update letters.

Or getting a mass email from a school that began with:

Dear FIRST NAME LAST NAME,

Didn't even bother to fill in the name.

If your theoretically ill-sent essay is belatedly noticed, one could only appreciate the irony of your username choice. Because you would be toast.
