Hey folks,
I am an IMG, I finished my medical undergrad degree in 2011 from India, and then completed a residency and now am post residency a year on. I am hoping to start prep now and possibly apply in a couple years. Considering that I have not studied the basic science subjects in a long while, I reckoned I would need a good bit of time settling in!
So, to come to the point that matters: if I apply in 2017, almost 7 years after my grad work, how bad a candidate would I be? I mean I would be old, I am an IMG - that is like a double whammy! What can I do in the meanwhile (aside from trying to get a good score), to offset this disadvantage of being an old grad?
Any advice would be welcome!
Cheers!
