Hi y'all! I'm hoping for some advice in case I have to reapply next cycle. So far, I've interviewed at three schools, but I've yet to hear back from any of them. I've still complete/pooled at 11 schools, but thought I'd start preparing for next cycle just in case...

Thanks for the responses!

Continue with clinical and non-clinical volunteering. Other than that, do pretty much whatever you have interest in. If possible, try to land a leadership position. What schools did you applied to this cycle and where have you interviewed?

So I was thinking of scribing or doing clinical/biological bench research while I reapply and also do more non-clinical volunteering (meals on wheels, etc). Will that be enough to improve my ECs/chances for next cycle?
Your research is already above average. If your clinical experience is ongoing, you'll have an impressive amount by the time you'd need to reapply if you had 150 hours last summer. If you had already started some nonmedical community service, you'll be looking better there too, but if you haven't started as of now, it will look weak.

Maybe consider something like Americorps for your glide year, which adcomms will find very appealing, which will solve the lack-of-community-service issue, and which is flexible enough from what I've heard to accomodate interviews.

Your MCAT score is fine if you're applying to the right schools.

Thanks Dragon + Catalyst! 🙂 If possible, can anyone recommend a few more schools that I could add to my school list/replace other schools with? I was thinking maybe a few newer schools that I didn't know about, like Commonwealth, FIU, Oakland, and maybe Hofstra?
