I've had 4 interviews so far at ASDOH, Minnesota, Michigan, and UDM and the only news I've heard back is that I've been put on the alternate list at Michigan. Now I'm starting to plan for how I can strengthen my resume for the next cycle. I have a 3.71 cGPA and a 3.65 sGPA. My DAT is AA: 19, TS: 19, and PAT: 17. I don't think my GPA is the problem so I don't think doing a PostBacc would be necessary to improve my resume. Right now I'm thinking the best route would be to retake the DAT and try to get a 20+ and work on my community service over the spring and summer. If you could offer me some input for what you think would be the best thing to do please let me know.

I think your GPA's are great. My suggestion would be to retake the DAT and apply as early as possible. Also try to contact the any schools and ask them how to strengthen your application.
Your stats seem ok to me, did you apply late? you also seem like you know what to do, so I'm sure you'll be fine. Good luck.

Sounds like you have a great idea on what you need to improve...honest self-assessment is a critical skill to have.

I agree with Skygrandpager on contact the schools to find out how yu can become a stronger candidate...but after if you find out bad news. To be honest, they will probably reiterate information you have already identified, but they may have some other details for you to focus on.

calling the schools is definitely the first thing you should do... you really don't know what they're thinking about your app until you actually ask them. Most schools will probably tell you to retake your DATs and not to even worry about doing a post-bacc because your GPA is good to go. Calling them will also put your name out there and they will see that you are working on improving any deficient area of your application for the next cycle... so come next cycle, you will have everything complete and will have satisfied any inhibitions they may have had about your application.

You're getting the interviews, your stats might be fine, you might need to work on your interviewing skills though. Next cycle, make sure you do plenty of mock interviews and review SDN interview feedback meticulously before interviews.

i agree with the above posters. your stats look good. Now its time to flesh out he personal statement with some neat life experiences so you stand out. Id suggest going on a dental mission trip to slap on there - Ive heard that makes adcoms giddy.
