So I've been prepping for about 3 weeks now for Step1, I'm an Osteopathic Student and my COMLEX is next week with the USMLE a week after that, so I have basically 13 days left.

I haven't taken any recent NBME's yet, though I plan to purchase NBME15.

I have been through UWorld a little over 1.5x at this point. The first pass was completed before my dedicated study time, finished with 58%.

The second pass, all timed/random done during my study time and I'm sitting at 75% correct, outside the ethics questions and a very few that really stood out I can honestly say that I don't remember the questions at all the second time through.

I also did the UWSA-1 as a baseline before the semester ended, and it predicted a 211.

Took UWSA-2 today and it predicted a 236.

My goal is at least 230.

So my question I guess is this: Given that UWSA's seem to over-predict, can anyone tell me by about how much? I've read 10%, but I've also read a lot of comments from people claiming that their scores correlated well with UWSA; so I don't really know what to think.

I feel like I have the ability to score much better. There were probably 4 or 5 questions in each block that I realized I talked myself out of the correct answer. And while that's a sign of not having a firm enough grasp on that particular material, I'd like to think that if I can just trust my gut more, I can do a lot better. My score might have been closer to 246 if I'd have listened to my instinct today.

Anyway, I'm interested in hearing what people's experience with UWSA is, and any advice anyone might have for adding points to USMLE score.

Thanks in advance....

saying the UWSA overpredicts by 10% (~23 points) is quite the overstatement. it's not THAT inaccurate IMO. If I had to guess i'd say it overpredicts by 10-20 points.

either way you should definitely take an NBME exam ASAP to get an idea of where you really stand. it will also give you a breakdown of how you did by topic so you know where to focus your efforts from here on out.
