I'm stuck between dental and medical. When it comes down to applying, I'm sure I'll just apply to one of them, but while I'm in college, can I do some unisex research/volunteering that would look good to both med and dental schools? And is it conceivable to study for both the MCAT and DAT.
So far I've observed a radiologist, neurosurgeon (wicked cool), and a general dentist.
Applying to both would be great, if it weren't for the fact that there are 24 hours in a day and money doesn't grow on trees. But I was thinking, I don't want to shadow a doctor for two years and then decide I actually want to be a dentist and have nothing dentistry-related to put on my application. I'm not being greedy and trying to go for both, I have a genuine interest in both fields and don't know what to do. Anyone have any experience in this?

I am sure that if you had equal dental/medical experience that neither school would look down on that. You would be one of the few students that could really say that they "know for sure" what they want to do.

case western has a MD/DMD degree you might want to look into...if you don't mind being in school forever
