So I want to begin by congratulating those who received good news today, especially those who have applied several times. The hard work has paid off and you guys should all feel proud. 😀

I unfortunately did not receive good news today, well lack of news. I plan to reapply in May, but I wanted to get some advice from successful re-applicants.

Any advice on how to strengthen your application? How to approach and contact schools for pointers? Just any pearls of wisdom anyone is willing to share would be greatly appreciated. Any programs or courses that helped? I'm bracing myself to work really hard the next few months, I really want an acceptance next year.

Again Congratulations to all who got accepted!

Yeah, I may have to be a re-applicant as well. I am just not sure what to do to make my application look more appealing for next year. It is hard to volunteer and work at the same time. I was thinking of taking a dental assisting course in the meanwhile, but if I get accepted next year, I won't even get to practice and the course will be a "waste."

Congratulations everyone on their acceptances as well.

What are your stats? I think you should think about taking at DAT again and perhaps doing more upper division biology courses. Ive read around the forums and seems most people were successful when they followed that tract. Extra shadowing/volunteer work as well.

I have looked into some post bach stuff and more community dentistry related things pm if you want more details.

I'm trying to look at thing pro-actively since its my first time applying. I'm sure if we all work hard we may get acceptances next cycle 🙂
