I have an interview this friday at UCLA. For those of you who have interviewed already, do you have any advice for me? Was having the faculty interview last more nervewrecking? Did the students give you any unique insight into the school that may have been helpful answering questions later on during the faculty interview. Any input would be very much appreciated. thanks.

80% of us interviewed before going on a tour and before meeting with any students. The presentations they did give us before the actual interview told us very little about the school itself b/c no one really asked questions. However it was not nerve wracking. My interviewer had my app in front of them and simply asked me questions about my personal statement, stuff about my shadowing experience, etc. It was very simple and laid back. The writing sample was not difficult either. Straightfoward ethical question.

Eat a good breakfast (unless pastries are your favorite thing), be confident, and relax. Very, very mellow interview day. Good luck!

Read through your application before and then relax, everyone is very nice. Ask questions so you can learn a lot about the program because their presentation is not very informative. Very low key interview.
