Advice for Veterinary Hours

Hi everyone I am a rising senior studying biology on a pre-vet track. I have been struggling my entire college life to obtain veterinary hours. There are not many veterinary clinics accepting other people to shadow or even become veterinary assistants or tech assistants without prior experience. I am also struggling to find some internships. I am taking a gap year since I don't have any veterinary hours. Any advice?

The big corporations are almost always hiring vet assistants, so check out openings near you with Banfield, NVA, VCA, etc. It allows you to get a foot in the door towards getting experience, which can help you look more attractive to private employers.
