Hello everyone,

I am right no in my junior year and planning on applying this coming summer for class of 2016. I am expecting to have a cumulative GPA of 3.3 and a science GPA of 3.4 (after a good number of retakes). I have a summer research experience, a semester of general chemistry TA, and a semester of biology tutoring. Also, I have just enrolled in a clinical internship program through CCE.

This coming semester, I will be taking Molecular Bio w/ lab, Micro Bio w/ lab, and two GE's. Also, I'll be doing ~10 hours/week in clinical volunteering.

I need your expertise in helping me decide between three options:

option A
Study for the MCAT starting next week (average 15 hours/week) for the April test.

option B
Study for the MCAT starting next week (averaging 15 hours/week for 4 months and then 50 hours/week for two weeks) for the June test.

option C
do A and B plus taking the princeton course 05/31-07/30 for the August test.

With option A, I will be able to submit my application on day one and have the advantage to be very early in the game.

With option B, I will still be early in the game, mid July, but I won't have the advantage of taking the MCAT course.

With option C, I will be submitting my application in the first week of September, which is considered late, but I will have a better MCAT result.

P.S. I really want to apply this year and not interested in waisting another year of my life.

If you believe you're capable of studying well on your own I would go with choice A. Based off of my experiences from the current cycle, I can't stress enough how important it is to apply early! By going with choice A you could also sign up for an early May exam if you need more time to study.

Have fun doing the CCE program 👍
