Hi guys, I need some advice regarding my schedule and my advisor wont be able to see me until after the late registration is closed haha.

So I am a sophmore currently enrolled in 18 credits. The classes im enrolled in are:

Gen chem 2 (4)
Bio 2 (4)
Physics 1 (4)
Statistics (3)
Rhetoric (3)

Total of 18 credits.

I am worried this might be to much of a work load. Last year I made a 3.4 🙁 taking 15 and 16 credits. But I feel I need to take this many classes so I can finish my premed requirements and major requirements on time for mcat and graduation. Based on my last years academic record do you think I should drop physics? leaving me at 14 credits or should I stop being a wuss and take the full load?

I do feel I know how to study and work more efficiently than last year. But I also would like to have time during the year to party and have a social life. Also physics would be the only class I could drop because I need the rest of those classes this semester.

Thanks in advance for any responses

Hey!

It's somewhat hard to say without being in your shows, but if you aren't confident that you can get at least a 3.7-3.8 in all your classes this semester with this load, I would definitely consider dropping physics. You have four science/math classes and a philosophy (?) class that could potentially require of you a lot of reading.

Maybe you should talk about it with your orientation counselor/administrative person X with a similar role?

(Btw, people here will likely tell you that your load is nothing special and that there's no reason to drop anything, but you know yourself better than they do 😉 Trust your instincts.)
