Just took my OAT today, and Definitly did not get the score that I wanted, I have a 3.3 science GPA, and a 290 (really really upset about this) QR totally killed me! ....My question is, has anyone gotten an Interveiw with scores like these. And is November 15th too late to take the OAT to get into any schools for Fall 10'?

applying to optometry school is sooo stressful and if your are taking your exam in november... your application won't be considered complete probably until december... i think you speak to your school advisor and probably to admissions of your top 2 schools... they will tell you a realistic answer

good luck!

November is not too late - I know someone who took OAT in January and go in for the same year admission. If you think you can get a higher score, take it again. But if I were you, I would definitely contact the admission office in optometry schools and see what they say.

Don't be upset, I've heard of someone who took the oats at the begging of the year and they got in for that year, with a 2.6-ish gpa non the less! But he ended up getting a 380. I've been getting scores similar to yours on my kaplan practice tests, those QR questions are enough to make people go crazy at the end of such a long test.

good luck!

Thank you so much for the great replys, needless to say I was pretty devistated when I got my score, but soon realized that 3 weeks is not nearly enough time to study for the OAT(for me personally). I now have 90days to study and this time I plan on using more resourses. I know that I will definitly score higher on my next OAT!
