Hi, so I understand that many of us have interviews while others are still waiting, thus, this is not meant to be insensitive~ just looking for honest opinions and any input about these programs you might have.

I applied to a lot of schools and now I have a lot of interviews. I'd like to do them all, however, at this point I cannot. Not enough time or money.

I am listing pre-December Interviews that I currently have and I need to weed some out. Which would you want to keep and why? Or vice versa?

UMKC- Oct 11
UConn- Oct 15
NYU - Oct 18
U Maryland- Oct 20
Iowa- Nov 1
UMDNJ- Nov 19
Colorado- Nov 20

Thanks

in my opinion, go to the interviews that you are most likely to want to attend in the future. pick maybe your top 4 or 5 and then put those pre-dec and then push the others past dec so that you can have them to fall back on just in case. however, if you are able to do it and money/time isn't a factor, it is always best to go to as many as possible because you never know what is going to happen

It depends on what you'd be happy with as mentioned before. For me the cost is a major factor in my decision, not only tuition costs but cost of living. For this reason NYU would be one that I would postpone until after Dec 1, but then again there are many people who want a new york city lifestyle and don't care about cost. Just an opinion, its actually the reason I didn't apply to NYU in the first place.

Yeah I have thought about that, I guess I am trying to find out everything I can about the cities and programs, to see maybe if cost or location is worth it. I thought it would be nice to see what others opinions are of these programs outside of cost. Any other pros or cons, so that I can then make a decision if I would be willing to pay that much, or live in a particular town.

Outside of NYC I do not know a lot about any of these programs or cities. I have been to their websites but it is difficult to glean interesting/realistic information there.

Hey Linden!,

Since you already interviewed at USC, a $$ heavy tuition school, I would knock out either NYU or UMDNJ (Really bad location...). But this is just purely opinion since I don't know anything about the midwest schools like iowa etc.

p.s. i think i remember you from usc! you were in my PBL group!

I would actually weed out the most expensive schools.....

Since money is an issue for going to interviews I'm guessing it's safe to say that cost is definitely part of the equation here? If so I'll agree with the others, cut out NYU. MY friend is going there this year and his rent for a tiny studio apt is 2k a month + utilities.
