Here's the story: My brother who is currently in dental school asked his clinical director if I could come in to watch and assist in the GPR over the summer. The director agreed, but I can't help feel dirty about the situation because I didn't do any of the work in securing this position. Furthermore, I'm afraid that if I screw up it will reflect badly on my brother.

What would you do? Would you decline and look for another dental office where you can shadow a doctor?

Wrong? I cannot think of one thing wrong about it. So much about getting ahead in life is based on the type of connections you have, the people you know. This is just one of those times...take advantage of it because this won't always be the case.

100% agree with him

I've been helped by connections that I've gained over the past few years so I totally agree. Use them if you have them 😀

It's okay to feel that way. It just means you're human. This is a great opportunity for you. Take it and run!
