I am 24 years old and just starting university this fall with plans to go to med school eventually. Will I be too old when I plan on applying as a 28 year old? I feel like I am so behind everyone else but I am totally committed to my goal. Just wondering if this plan is even feasible, people already think I'm some kind of loser for just starting undergrad at 24.

The average matriculation age is 25 so you won't be that much older once you start. I know people people who started around 27 and they were fine with it. In fact, I consulted them about doing a Master's or taking a year off and they encouraged it. Here's what they told me, "Don't rush. Just do what's best for yourself."

People also think Lady Gaga makes good music, so, you know... don't worry about them. 🙂 People are cray-cray.

Hey now. Lady GaGa is extremely talented. She was accepted into Julliard at 11, wrote her first ballad at 13, and performed in NYC at 14. She was accepted to an incredibly prestigious program at NYU and plays the piano like a (explicit word). If you haven't heard her acoustic sets, you're doing yourself a disservice. But yes, as per your original point, anyone can have an opinion it doesn't make it right. 🙂

Her music's not my cup of tea but I also think she's on the road to becoming the next Madonna.
